When you book with Captain Dave and the crew, you’re getting a fully equipped, turnkey fishing experience.

Here’s what’s included:

We supply quality rods, reels, bait, and all necessary tackle. Whether we’re targeting flounder in the bay, bluefish near the inlet, striped bass, croaker, tautog, or sea bass, you’ll have the right gear for the job.

You don’t need to bring your own equipment unless you simply prefer to.

Your fishing license is covered under our charter. No need to stand in line or purchase anything in advance—we’ve got it handled.

With over 40 years of fishing experience in Ocean City waters, I’ll guide you every step of the way. From baiting hooks to netting fish, we work especially well with kids and first-time anglers.

Mates Frank and Connor are right there to help, keep lines untangled, and make sure everyone is having a great time.

Our goal is simple: make this the easiest fishing trip you’ve ever taken with your kids.

Now let’s talk about what to bring on a fishing charter so you’re comfortable and prepared.

Conditions can change quickly on the water. Even in summer, mornings can be cool and breezes offshore can surprise you.

We recommend:

• Lightweight, breathable clothing in summer
• A light hoodie or windbreaker
• Non-marking, non-slip shoes (no black soles)
• Rain jacket if the forecast calls for it
• Hat and polarized sunglasses
• Sunscreen (apply before boarding. YOU CANNOT USE ANY AEROSOL SPRAYS ONBOARD THE BOAT)
   

In spring and fall, layers are your best friend. It’s always easier to remove a layer than wish you had one.

Feel free to bring snacks and drinks for your group. A small cooler with bottled water, sports drinks, and easy-to-eat snacks works great.

GLASS BOTTLES AND COLORED DRINKS SUCH AS GATORADE ARE NOT PERMITTED ONBOARD

If you're keeping fish, we’ll clean your catch and have it ready for transporting home.

You’re going to want photos.

Whether it’s your child’s first flounder or a big bluefish bending the rod, those are moments worth capturing. We’re happy to take pictures for you—just hand us your phone and we’ll make sure you get a great shot.

Many of our families tell us the pictures become the highlight of their Ocean City vacation memories.

To keep things simple, here’s what you can leave behind:

• Fishing gear (unless you prefer your own)
• No hard sole shoes such as cowboy boots, work boots, or dress shoes
• Large hard coolers (space is limited)
• No glass bottles
• No hard liquor
• Colored drinks such as Gatorade or fruit drinks (This will stain the floor)
• Negative attitudes 😉
